Buenos Aires is wonderful city, with its boulevards, parks, grand buildings and varied culture and nightlife, is the most European of all Latin American cities. The porteños, as the residents are called, are more than 3 million. Their culture can be enjoyed in countless art galleries, theatres and museums, being the tango, their local passion. Food is excellent from local bars and restaurants to fine fancy cuisine. A place you will not forget.

Abasto:
The Abasto is located very close to downtown. The main avenue is Corrientes where the Abasto mall is. This was originally the central market of Buenos Aires and was refurbished some years ago.
 

Recoleta:
La Recoleta is one of the most traditional and distinguish neighborhood if the city, full of French style buildings and fancy shops. The most interesting areas are located nearby the cemetery and the church Del Pilar.

 
Palermo:
Palermo has grown a lot in the last years and is the chosen place for young artists and designers. The decoration shops of modern style and the boutique hotels and exotic restaurants make the place special and interesting.
 
Puerto Madero:
This is the newest and exclusive neighborhood in the city, which was refurbished in the 90´s. The old port docks are now splendid restaurants and luxurious offices. The neighborhood has extended towards the River Plate with fancy flats and exclusive hotels.
 
San Telmo:
This neighborhood was originated during the colonial period and they are still trying to preserve the old historical facades. La plaza Dorrego, is now a days a great center of antiques sales, specially during the weekends were the San Telmo flea market takes place.
 
Downtown:
The downtown of Buenos Aires is the heart of the city, full of people walking and vehicles moving everywhere. It’s the financial, political, cultural and commercial centre of the city itself.
From Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada, the cathedral and the historical Cabildo up to Plaza San Martin. Here you will find the walking Florida Street, Corrientes Ave. full of theaters and the Ave. 9 de Julio, the widest Ave. in the world.
